Natsui Tsubasa, a woman driven by a strong sense of justice and known for her candid nature, serves as a detective in the local police department of a coastal town. Her ambition is to join the First Investigation Division, which focuses on violent offenses. However, her career takes an unexpected turn when she is reassigned to the child guidance center. Although she is displeased with this new position, she starts her journey as a novice child welfare officer, striving to support children in distress or suffering. During this time, she collaborates with the experienced child welfare officer, Kurata Sosuke, who takes on the role of her mentor.
