In honor of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, TVB is excited to present the thoughtfully crafted series "Ode to Light and Shadow in Unity". Through this production, TVB remains steadfast in their support for the viewers. The series consists of six captivating short stories, including "Touch The Sky", "My Mom, My Ping Pong", "My Pride", "You Light Me Up", "Communion", and "Silver Lining", which will showcase Hong Kong's journey and transformations over the past 25 years.

The series is composed of four sets of three episodes, with each set being directed by a different individual. While the directors had creative freedom in developing their stories, they all revolve around a central theme of deception. Aoi Yu stars in all the episodes, with each one featuring a behind-the-scenes glimpse into its production. The chapters include Jinseitte Uso Mitai / Life is Like a Lie directed by Takasaki Takuma, Barairo no Hibi / RoseColored Days directed by Takasu Mitsuyoshi, Akabane San Shimai / Three Akabane Sisters directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro, and Tomin Suzuko -Hyakumanen to Nigamushi Onna Josho- / Tokyote Suzuko: One Million Yen and the Nigamushi Woman directed by Tanada Yuki.

The multi-genre series "Kiss Shape" features the 11 members of the Nagoya-based boy group BOYS AND MEN as the main protagonists, exploring various facets of love in each episode

Three tales unfold at Wangan TV Studio, each penned by a different comedian. In the first story, "First Night" by Yoshizumi, actress Komori Kana faces off with a persistent security guard at Wangan TV as she tries to use her face pass for drama shooting. Despite the guard's constant inquiries about her identity, a unique bond begins to form between them. The second story, "Second Night" by Mizukawa Katamari, follows young program director Funo as he seeks help from veteran editor Torigoe to save an on-site recording in jeopardy. As Funo races against time to finish the project and reunite with his pregnant wife, Torigoe's relaxed editing pace causes tension. Unbeknownst to them, a new challenge lurks ahead. Lastly, in "Third Night" by Iwasaki Udai, newcomer Misaki grapples with handling viewer inquiries at the Viewer Center of Wangan TV. With the guidance of senior operator Ikue, Misaki navigates through difficulties related to a recent program broadcast. However, a mysterious silent phone call disrupts her routine.

In the autumn of 1990, a significant event occurred that left a lasting impact on many individuals

Despite facing numerous challenges such as her partner's unfaithfulness and her sister-in-law's scheming, Lin Xiao Cao remains optimistic and caring. She looks after her mother-in-law and her husband's child from another relationship while also helping others and believing in genuine love. Xiao Cao has a special talent for connecting with people and resolving conflicts, even with someone like Liu Shui. When Liu Shui realizes the pain he has caused Xiao Cao, he falls for her and pursues her. Despite his efforts, Xiao Cao struggles to believe that someone as successful as Liu Shui could truly love her and tries to avoid his advances.

The tale revolves around Zhu Shan, an ordinary individual who faces numerous hardships in life but manages to conquer challenges with his intelligence and bravery

This is a tale about a woman who was born with fragmented lines on her palms. In Chinese tradition, it is believed that individuals born with broken lines on their palms, particularly females, will encounter great hardships and misfortune in life. The narrative commences with the protagonist, Luo Jin Yu, being born to a mother who sold fried noodles and a father addicted to gambling. Jin Yu was delivered backstage at a Cantonese opera troupe that happened to be in town for a show. Upon discovering that her firstborn daughter had broken lines on both palms, Jin Yu's mother was devastated. Despite wanting to abandon Jin Yu, she was advised by an opera performer to raise her daughter to the best of her ability. Jin Yu faced numerous challenges and difficulties throughout her life, including being denied education and having to work in a factory at a young age to support her family due to poverty. Despite facing hardships, Jin Yu discovered a talent for writing and pursued it to provide for her family. Her husband, however, was unsupportive and abusive, leading Jin Yu to strive for independence and success as a scriptwriter. Despite contemplating suicide at one point, Jin Yu was encouraged by a journalist named Pan Li Hua to continue living and take control of her own destiny. Eventually, Jin Yu overcame numerous challenges and ended up marrying a man who shared her passion for scriptwriting and Cantonese opera.

Inspired by real events involving China's modern National Security Bureau, the story follows the creation of China's inaugural national aircraft carrier amidst a setting of espionage

During a trip to Korea, Cheng Hua, a young fashion goods shop owner, is wrongly accused of smuggling and sentenced to six months in prison abroad. To protect their assets, Cheng Hua and her husband Shao Jun decide to divorce, with Shao Jun promising to remarry her upon her release. However, upon Cheng Hua's return, she discovers Shao Jun marrying wealthy heiress An Li Na. Shao Jun then fakes amnesia after a failed attempt to reconcile with Cheng Hua, who infiltrates the An household as their 28th maid. Despite Cheng Hua's efforts to help Shao Jun regain his memory, his troubled past continues to haunt him, leading him to pursue control of the An clan corporation. As he battles the Song clan corporation in both business and love, Shao Jun finds himself drawn to CEO Song Yao.

During the early years of the Republic of China, Qiao Yuzhu, a member of the sedan hall family known as "jiduan," was unexpectedly given a valuable map of the Republic's foundation by revolutionary party member Wu Yijian. To safeguard the treasure, Qiao Yuzhu entrusted the map to Qiao Liti, a woman who had been marginalized due to being born with six fingers. Meanwhile, Wu Yijian's wife, Mrs. Che, transported explosives through the corpse-filled streets. Qiao Liti's son, Qiao Wenxuan, sought marriage with Gu Zhipeng and eventually wedded spy Chu Lin. Despite facing numerous challenges, Qiao Liti persevered and eventually discovered gold. However, their plans were jeopardized when Che Wenxuan was captured by Gu Zhipeng. In a turn of events, Gu Zhipeng took Qiao Liti hostage, only to be stopped by his mother, Yun Xian. Tragically, Yun Xian took her own life, causing Gu Zhipeng to spiral into madness. Ultimately, Che Wenxuan joined the revolutionary movement, while Qiao Liti patiently awaited his return.
