Following a difficult period in his life, former undercover detective Pau Kai Chung travels to the Wudang Mountains in Hubei, China to seek solace. While there, he reunites with his former martial arts mentor Mo Yee Shan, who now runs an inn and martial arts academy in the mountains. Yee Shan also cares for a man named Ho Ching Tung, who has a mysterious background. Kai Chung takes on a role as a chef at Yee Shan's inn. However, peace is disrupted when a group of martial arts students led by Yee Shan's daughter Lok Yeung arrives. Their presence triggers painful memories for Kai Chung, who had crossed paths with Lok Yeung in Hong Kong. It is revealed that Lok Yeung's true motive for returning to Wudang is to convince her mother to sell the inn and martial arts school to an investment group from Hong Kong. Yee Shan agrees to the sale on the condition that Lok Yeung wins a competition within three months. To aid Lok Yeung, Yee Shan feigns an injury and appoints Kai Chung as the new instructor at the martial arts school. As events unfold, Ching Tung regains his sanity and exposes Kai Chung's hidden identity, putting everyone at Wudang in jeopardy.
