The first set of episodes follows Yukie Samejima, an artist who pulls an all-nighter to meet a deadline. After falling asleep on the couch the next day, she hears the voice of a mysterious young girl calling for her mother. In a separate set of episodes, Misuzu Murai, who used to dabble in fortune telling in college, now works at a city company.
